Joshua Parkhurst Start Down The Current Path

A scene plays out in courtrooms across the country every day—that is that of the justice system being used to stand up for the downtrodden. Those who work hard should get their deserved rewards, that is the basic notion that motivates lawyers like Joshua Parkhurst. This part of the justice system is often ignored by the media and others—who like to portray the justice system as rarely defending the downtrodden, the employees, the labor unions.

Joshua Parkhurst got his start down the current path at the University of Chicago, where he sought, and attained, a B.S. in Public Policy. He then attended New York University’s Law School, where he became Legal Theory Editor at the Review of Law and Social Change. He attained a J.D. In 1996 from NYU Law School. He was able to pass the bar in New York in 1997, which allowed him to practice law in that state. He is now an associate at Cary Kane LLP, a highly respect law firm based in New York. He represents individual employees, labor unions, and employee benefit funds. He is also the President of the Jersey City Landmarks Conservancy, which is a non-profit organization which helps to preserve historic sites and neighborhoods in Jersey City.
